MEET OUR CODE_N CONTEST FINALISTS 2018: Intellyo from Austria
Intellyo is a company changing the core of digital content by leveraging intelligent automation. This Vienna-based startup is harnessing the power of data and AI-driven technology to redefine content marketing so that enterprises, businesses and even individuals can meet their goals of creating outstanding and high-quality content tailored to the needs of each audience. We spoke with Clemens Jeneral, CEO of Intellyo to learn more about their online publishing platform, the Creator Engine.
Iulia: What is Intellyo all about?
Clemens: We’re a startup based in Vienna and Budapest that has developed the Creator Engine (CE), a publishing platform that improves content creation workflow and performance. With the CE, content marketers can co-create with their team thanks to role assignment, chat, and real-time collaboration features. On top of managing content, the CE facilitates the optimization process. Working on the same platform, users can run keyword research and get tips on how to adjust their content, so it will rank better in meta-search engine results. We have also integrated various channels into the CE so that content writers can rapidly distribute new work. At the click of the mouse they can publish on WordPress, Medium, Twitter, or Facebook.
Iulia: How did you come up with the idea?
Clemens: We were working together on a video content platform and discovered that even with extremely high-quality content, it’s difficult to stand out and find the channels that work best. Inspired by this problem, we started working on the best method to distribute content. This is how the idea of Intellyo was born, and the company was established in October 2016. Its goal is to develop intelligent software to write the best content as efficiently as possible. We keep fine-tuning the software by adding integrated and new features so that content writers can keep producing high-performing content.
Iulia: What are you trying to solve?
Clemens: Since marketers realized that native content works better than intrusive display ads, content marketing is on the rise and it is forecasted that this industry will keep growing. The issue is that content creation is a fragmented process because every “content guru” suggests different tools or processes to improve performance. As a result, users have to log in to a whole host of apps or install plugins just in order to complete the overall content production process. That’s time-consuming and expensive. The Creator Engine places all the required tools in one place to enable content marketers to meet deadlines yet still produce high-quality content.
Iulia: How can business content be turned into an asset? As a blogger, I’m always looking for ways to expand audience reach. Do you have any tips for writing a successful blog?
Clemens: We always suggest that you base content on issues that occupy the consumer or specific keywords that customers are constantly looking for (high-volume keywords). Companies that turn their content into an item of useful or entertaining information based on audience needs are the ones who will win. We create our content in a three-step process: research, optimization, and distribution. In the first stage, we conduct social listening or keyword research to spot audience needs. Afterward, we compose our articles by basing them on easy-to-follow headlines and descriptive images to make it easier to read the content. Also, we frequently optimize our articles by using the main keywords and adding the correct meta-descriptions for the images.
Finally, the articles are distributed through our own channels but also on additional platforms for content sharing. Also, we are always open to the possibility of guest posts. We believe that building a successful blog is not a one-off thing but an ongoing process that takes effort from the content team. The focus should lie in providing the audience with up-to-date and useful content.
Iulia: Thank you for the interview, Clemens!
