Oh yes – we’re going to do it again. After the huge success of the first new.New Festival in 2016, CODE_n is back with the second edition. In accordance with our mission to “Explore the DNA of Digital Innovation,” in 2018 the festival is all about Intelligence X.0. The second edition of this unconventional event once again welcomes anyone who is genuinely passionate about tech and entrepreneurship – and embraces the opportunities presented by digitalization. The next new.New Festival will take place in Stuttgart, Germany’s stronghold of industry, from October 8 to 10, 2018. Save the date and be prepared for a deep dive into groundbreaking business models based on pioneering technologies, role 

models, inspiration, open innovation, cultural change, and much, much more!

Many things change, but one thing stays the same: Everything will be new at the new.New Festival! First and foremost, we’re proud to announce that this year’s edition will take place in Stuttgart – the hometown of CODE_n – at the prestigious Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle. The festival is a three-day experience showcasing the brilliant opportunities offered by “Intelligence X.0,” the focal topic of the event. Machine Intelligence, Beyond Reality, and Cryptographic Trust are the exciting and forward-looking categories that will be explored by the 50 most disruptive and game-changing startups. The top 50 will showcase their tech applications at the festival – taking the CODE_n startup competition to the next level. Other pillars of the event will be exhibition and exploration, stage time with inspiring speakers, interactive sessions, and matchmaking and networking.

Upcoming digital trends: Machine Intelligence, Beyond Reality, Cryptographic Trust

The new.New Festival offers you the chance to learn more about cutting-edge and future technologies, plus the business models based on them. In Machine Intelligence we focus not only on robotics, but also look

at technologies such as machine learning, deep learning, neural networks, and natural-language processing. Beyond Reality is related to virtual, augmented, and mixed reality as well as digital twins. Rounding out the field of digital trends, Cryptographic Trust is all about blockchain and its various areas of application, edge computing, and cybersecurity.

The state of Baden-Wuerttemberg, the city of Stuttgart, and the IT firm GFT Technologies have already been confirmed as new.New Festival partners for 2018. Winfried Kretschmann, Minister-President of Baden-Wuerttemberg and honorary patron of the event, emphasizes that,

Tracking down the next big thing: CODE_n CONTEST

The highlight of the new.New Festival is the final of the CODE_n CONTEST: Intelligence X.0. After four successful years at CeBIT, the startup competition is continuing into its sixth edition. A top-notch jury handpicks 50 tech startups from an international field of applicants and invites them to the festival, where they present their outstanding business models aimed at disrupting the status quo. From this selection, a top 10 shortlist is chosen to pitch for the CODE_n awards during the festival. The application phase is now open.
